Not long ago man, built the automobile, before long he learned to mass produce them.
We traveled at 5mph and thought we really made progress.
Today, we can go 300 mph,
talk on the telephone, use a GPS to find our way to places, sleep, move move mountains, and clear a rain forest in days.
Not long ago man made the telephone,he could call to the next room, then to the country, soon around the world. Now man can not only talk to anyone,he can look at them, send a picture,a message, a file or get directions, all in one cell phone, who knew we could move so fast.
Not long ago man flew a few hundred feet, now we can see a friend or relative across the country in a few hours,we can talk to them while in the air.It seems that there is no end to what we can do, but, at what price?
We haste fast cars, but so many cars we drive to work at a snails pace creating
smog so thick some people cant breathe,we have cut down our oxygen producing rain
forest.
We have polluted our lakes and streams, used our fuel at record pace, treated our food with chemicals that we are finding out that are hurting us more than helping us.
All of this is in the name of progress,it seems to me we are taking another step
backwards.
